PC-ALUM

Aluminum Filled Epoxy Compound

Polycast Alum is an aluminum filled, epoxy formulation which is used for tooling in both small and large applications. It is also suitable for use in making molds which have excellent wear resistance, as well as metal replacement, and void filling. PC-Alum can withstand elevated temperatures as well.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Premix PC Alum in the original container prior to use to insure any settled filler may be reincorporated. Warming PC Alum to 95°F facilitates ease of use.

2. Weigh out the required amount of PC Alum Part A and the requisite Part B.

3. Mix thoroughly, scraping both sides and bottom of container.

4. Evacuate mixture at 29 in. Hg for 5-10 minutes (if desired).

5. Pour into mold or cavity.

CURE SCHEDULE:

Overnight at Room temp. (75°F) and Post Cure 2 hours at 200o F; or 1 hour at 250oF

NOTE: For service temperature above 300°F, post cure 3-4 hours at 325-350°F.

*After Post Cure or exposure to heat, PC Alum turns to a slightly olive drab color to indicate full cure.
